Safety & Liability Wavier

By booking or participating in any outdoor activity, guided trail, forest bathing session, workshop, or related programme (“Activity”) organised by Cosy Landscape & Lifestyle (“we”, “our”, “us”), you acknowledge and agree to the terms stated in this Safety & Liability Waiver.

Please read this document carefully.

Your participation signifies your acceptance of all conditions below.

1. Assumption of Risks

You understand that outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Uneven terrain with fungi and rocks, slippery muddy or sandy surfaces with pollen and algae, or natural or man-made obstacles such as fallen trees, rocks

• Exposure to insects, wildlife, and natural elements

• Sudden weather changes (heat, rain, lightning, wind, haze)

• Physical exertion, dehydration, fatigue, or heat-related injuries

• Risks associated with coastal or tidal environments (where applicable)

• Dangerous Marine Animals, if encountered, e.g. Stonefish, Rabbitfish, rays, Reef shark(s).

• Decompression sickness caused by participants' repeated breath holding dives.

• Collision between sea-going vessels or man-overboard enroute to destination.

• Aircraft crash at destination.

You voluntarily assume all such risks and participate at your own discretion.

2. Personal Responsibility

You agree that it is your responsibility to:

• Ensure you are physically and medically fit to participate

• Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries

• Bring appropriate footwear, water, sun protection, and any personal medications

• Follow all safety instructions and guidance given by the facilitator

• Monitor your own physical condition during the Activity

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

3. Safety Instructions

Participants must comply with all safety instructions given before or during the Activity, including:

• Keeping within sight of the group

• Avoiding restricted or unsafe areas

• Adhering to guidelines during high-heat or wet weather conditions

• Respecting wildlife and natural surroundings

We reserve the right to remove any participant who behaves in a manner that endangers themselves or others.

4. Weather & Environmental Conditions

Activities may continue in light rain but will be paused, modified, or cancelled if conditions become unsafe (e.g., lightning, strong winds, haze, or high heat risk).

We are not responsible for delays or disruptions caused by environmental factors beyond our control.

5. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, you agree that Cosy Landscape & Lifestyle, its owners, guides, employees, and partners are not liable for:

• Any injury, illness, or death

• Loss or damage to personal property

• Accidents caused by natural terrain, weather, wildlife, or other participants

• Incidents resulting from your failure to follow instructions or disclose medical conditions

You release and discharge us from any and all claims arising from participation in the Activity.

6. Photos & Media

By participating, you consent to:

• Photos or videos being taken during the Activity

• These media being used for promotional or educational purposes

If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform the guide before the Activity begins.

7. Medical Treatment

In the event of an accident or emergency, you authorise us to:

• Provide first aid

• Arrange for medical treatment if required

All associated costs will be borne by the participant.

8. Personal Data

Your personal data may be collected for:

• Safety management

• Participant records

• Emergency contact purposes

Data will be handled in accordance with our PDPA Policy.

9. Agreement & Acknowledgement

By registering for or participating in our Activities, you confirm that:

• You have read and understood this Safety & Liability Waiver

• You understand the risks involved

• You agree to participate at your own risk

• You release us from liability to the extent permitted by law

If registering on behalf of others (e.g., a group booking), you confirm that you have obtained their consent to these terms.
